Why partner with Cascais Ventures

We are the infrastructure the route never had.

We create and produce cultural projects with Portugal's most credible foundations and leading artists. That gives your clients what the market has always lacked: reliable access.

Guaranteed slots.

We have a significant pipeline of projects, so we can guarantee your clients access to a €200,000 slot. We keep the reservation while your client opens a bank account, gets the NIF and moves the funds.

Institutional-grade governance.

Processes that remove any legal and reputational risk for artists, donors and partners. We work with the most credible foundations and public institutions in Portugal, and with leading national and international artists. On top of that:

Audited projects.

All our projects and foundations are audited.

Milestone-based funding.

A strict governance model releases funding only after milestones are achieved.

Reporting and transparency.

Periodic reporting to donors beyond legal requirements. Every euro is traceable.

Fully vetted donors.

KYC due diligence performed by a global audit firm.

One point of contact.

A dedicated account manager handles foundations, documents and signatures.

No extra cost.

Donors pay nothing to Cascais Ventures on top of the donation.

Portugal's top projects.

Created with the country's best artists and its most respected foundations.

1 The legal minimum for a cultural donation is €250,000, reduced by 20% to €200,000 for projects in low-density territories (Portaria 208/2017). Every Cascais Ventures project is in a low-density territory. The low-density territories in English.

2 Ten years of legal residence from the first residence card (7 for nationals of Portuguese-speaking (CPLP) countries), plus Portuguese language and civic tests. Stay rule: 7 days in the first year, then 14 days in each following two-year period. Children under 18, or older if unmarried, dependent and studying; parents and parents-in-law if dependent on you or your spouse.

Questions

Questions partners ask

Are there any costs to my clients above the donation?
Your clients pay nothing to Cascais Ventures on top of the donation. Government fees and their own lawyer's fees are the same as on any Golden Visa route. More in our FAQ
Can you guarantee a slot for my client?
Yes. Our pipeline of approved projects lets us guarantee access to a €200,000 place, and we hold it for up to three months while your client gets the NIF, opens an account where needed and moves the funds. More in our FAQ
What happens if the project is cancelled, or the beneficiary loses its eligibility?
It is not a ground to refuse your renewal or cancel your residence permit. At renewal, the Ministry of Culture's declaration looks only at changes attributable to you, and the beneficiary entity is contractually bound to supply its own declarations for five years. Read the full answer
Who handles the residency application?
Your client's Portuguese lawyer files with AIMA. We handle the donation side: project, documents, signatures and confirmations. More in our FAQ
Which clients are eligible?
All non-EU citizens. One donation also covers their spouse or de facto partner, children under 18 or older if unmarried, dependent and studying, and dependent parents and parents-in-law. More in our FAQ
